On my wedding day my wife gave me an original boxed Optimus Prime Transformer (my favourite toy from when I was a kid) Completely stunned me! Showed how much she payed attention to all the things I had said over the years – confirming that she was the one for me! You should research her past and get her something that would show her how much effort you would go to to get her something meaningful

This is really simple, and you probably made your mum one when you were at school and there is a good chance she still has it coz my mum still has mine. It is one of the boxes make of paddle pop sticks with the lid. You could make her one as a jewellery box and buy her something special that you can put on the inside, it would be a great surprise and something that she can use and will cherish forever.( she will also think of you everytime she looks at it.)
I wish my partner did something like that for me, you sound like a great man and you girl is very lucky to have somone like you.

It would help if we know her interest and hobbies. And your special skills … carpentry (garden chairs), plumber (out door dog bath with hot/cold water), gardening (a rose garden), electrical … well, you get the idea.

A coffee table book of pictures of the two of you or places or pets that she likes.
Cook for her.
Make her a small piece of furniture, like a small bookshelf, painting easel, small table, jewellery box etc.
Take her on a scenic drive (you’re not technically ‘making’ it but you are creating an experience) or give her an hour massage.
Build her a computer ;o)

Here’s something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating … you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
