The Chicken soup for the soul books have an edition related to people who have gone through different types of illness which she may enjoy reading their stories.
A nice stained glass Butterfly she can place near her window.
Maybe some wind chimes.
A promise box from the Christian book shop the majority of people I have passed these on to love them.
